After decades of production, the Santa Fe is still one of the company’s most popular models. The mid-size crossover has always been considered as a great affordable alternative to Japanese crossover, but things are a little bit different these days. This is a hi-quality vehicle these days, which has a lot of great things to offer.
The newest version has been introduced recently and it is one of the freshest models in the class of mid-size SUVs. Therefore, we don’t expect more important changes for the third production year. However, some reports are suggesting that we could finally see an electrified version. Unfortunately, there is no official statement at the moment.
- Affordable price
- Efficient base engine
- Long list of safety features
- Smooth ride
- Below-average cargo area
- Lackluster base engine
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe will represent the third-year model of the current generation, which has been launched recently. With a new design, it is one of the freshest models in the class, so a couple of more years will past until we see some more important updates. The recent redesign has brought a lot of novelties. Once again, this mid-size is available in both two- and three-row versions. Of course, there is a completely new styling, which makes the new model far more attractive compared to the previous generation.
Of course, the most prominent in the new face, which comes with a lot of sharp shapes. Headlights, grille, bumper and other parts are now narrower, full of sharp edges. Therefore, we don’t count on more important changes for the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe. Still, don’t exclude the possibility to see minor tweaks in terms of new color options and similar things.
Once again, we don’t expect bigger changes. The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe should continue with a familiar cabin design, which is characterized by a lot of quality. First of all, most materials are soft on touch. All of them seem very durable. The dashboard looks very attractive and comes in various color options. Considering that this crossover is competing in one of the hottest segments in the automotive industry, with models like Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and others, smaller updates are definitely expected. This particularly refers to tech features and similar things. Also, count on new color schemes in the offer.
On the other side, the thing that definitely won’t change is interior space. As we already mentioned, this model comes in two variants and the first two rows are quite comfortable in both cases. On the other side, the third row is pretty tight and definitely isn’t suitable for adults. Also, the cargo area definitely isn’t among the most generous in the class. For example, two-row models offer around 36 cubic feet behind the second row, these are below-average numbers for the class.

Also, a diesel version is about to come to North America soon. It will feature a familiar 2.2-liter engine with around 200 horsepower.
For the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, some reports are suggesting that the Korean carmaker might introduce a hybrid version. Unfortunately, we are still waiting to hear something from the officials.
