The Japanese manufacturer recently presented the updated version of the current-generation Tacoma, which has been on the market since 2015. We saw a lot of novelties, including new aesthetical details, new interior features, upgrades of the TRD Pro model and much more. However, we didn’t hear anything about the most anticipated thing, a diesel version. This leads us to the conclusion that the oil-burner won’t be ready that soon and that the launch has been delayed for another year. At this point, this seems like the only logical explanation, considering their many sources were assuring us that the new version is definitely coming. So, the 2021 Toyota Tacoma Diesel sounds a lot more likely. Besides the new powertrain, it could receive a couple of more minor tweaks. Still, the vast majority of its characteristics will remain the same.
